After 16 years of dedicated service to Triangle Building Products, Phil Guerrasio, who ran Triangle's Millwork Division, is setting his sights on a well-deserved retirement.
Phil started in the business when he was a teenager as a stock boy at Island Coal and Lumber. After that summer, he was hired at Triangle Pacific, the company started by CEO Bruce Meltzer's father, where he worked for 3 years. After Triangle Pacific, Phil worked for Centereach Lumber, continuing his knowledge in the industry.
Phil later reunited with Bruce, working for General Building Products, as the Manager of the East Northport location for many years. When General Building Products closed, Phil moved to Boro Lumber, and then Nassau Suffolk Lumber, continuing to build his relationships and understanding of the latest products used in the construction industry.
To our good fortune, in 2005 Phil joined us at Triangle Building Products and has been an integral part of our company through the years. Phil became the Operations Manager, and ran our yard and warehouse for many years.
As the company was quickly expanding, we needed his skills for our Inside Sales Department's Millwork Division. Phil was the key component for the division's continued growth. He shared his depth of knowledge and industry experience with our sales staff, and our customers. Phil was a great team player, and was always willing to assist wherever/ whenever needed. Filling his shoes will be an almost impossible task.
All of us here will miss Phil immensely and his many contributions to Triangle Building Products. We wish him all the very best in his well deserved retirement.
